The Corporate Engineering Department at Mirror Lake has an opening for a Project Manager that will manage capital projects for the department with a primary focus on projects within Refining & Marketing, Asphalt & Emulsions, and Transportation & Terminaling.
Regular accountabilities include overall leadership of the development and execution of capital projects including oversight of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Typical duties include managing the engineering consultant and contractor selection processes, working with the consultants and contractors to develop scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for capital projects, and developing Authorizations for Expenditures (AFEs). Other duties include reviewing drawings, documents, and specifications, developing periodic project update reports, and overseeing project close-out and documentation turnover.
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with a minimum of three (3) years of project engineering, project management and/or general plant/industrial experience is required. Prior experience working with multi-disciplined engineering firms and in the oil refining industry is preferred. The person selected must possess strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills. The person selected must be able to work in and foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision. The person chosen will be required to travel to his or her assigned facility and project locations as required to perform his or her duties.
